Sary-Jo set up an interview with a pediatrician. We were looking for someone with a special interest in foreign adoptions so that they would be attuned to various issues that we might encounter. As it turns out, the doctor who seems to best fill that bill is the wife of the school district’s Director of the ELL (English Language Learners) program, whom Sary-Jo has worked with and we both know! We meet her in a couple weeks.

Home Study Documents
Well… we finally finished our first wave of documents and are ready for the Home Study. I think the agency still needs some of the reference letters, but we finished our autobiographies (24 pages EACH) and got our medical forms, etc.
Big News!
The BIG NEWS at our home is that we are in the process of adopting two children! To protect the children, we cannot put much information on the website. We cannot share ANYTHING about the children at this time – other than to say we have not yet been matched up with specific children.
But over time, we will share how God led us to this decision and how He is continuing to work and guide us through this process. We are excited!
30th Anniversary Trip
We won a trip to Las Vegas that included airfare and two nights at The Venetian. We were able to extend it for a few days and celebrate both our anniversary and New Years. We had a great time, although one time is sufficient for New Years Eve in Vegas! We saw several shows and spent a fair amount of time beginning the paperwork for adoption. We were truly blessed and enjoyed it thoroughly. Click on our picture to see many more. When the first picture appears, hover over the edges to go forward or back through the pictures.
Foster Parents
We have our license as Foster Parents, but have decided not to take any placements immediately. With Sary-Jo’s employment change, we’ll take kids for short-term only – at least during this school year. However, we are asking God’s guidance regarding future decisions, including possible adoption.
